The Big Day

Our Wedding

The Ceremony – 12:00

Neither of us is much of a night owl, so we’ll be having an early afternoon ceremony and reception. The ceremony will start at noon, so plan to arrive between 11:30 and 11:50 am to find your place. We’re expecting an intimate ceremony with 25-30 guests, so sit wherever you would like – there is no bride’s side or bride’s side. We are hoping for an outdoor ceremony, though obviously in Ontario in November we may have to move inside the chapel for weather. As such, plan to have a second layer if possible.

The Cocktail Hour – 12:30

Following the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour in the pavilion right next to the chapel. Close friends and family members will likely be asked to join the couple in the gardens for a few pictures. Aside from that, mingle, chat, enjoy a drink or two along with our charcuterie board, and the reception will start around 1:30pm.

The Reception – 1:30

The reception will be held either in the pavilion if weather allows, or inside the chapel. We’ll be enjoying a barbecue-style menu, so bring an appetite! Dinner will be followed by cake, and then dancing. Expect everything to wrap up around 5 – 5:30pm.

Helpful Info

There is no particular dress code, but there will be lots of pictures taken so dress as you feel is appropriate! But more importantly, given the time of year, be ready to dress WARM! We don’t want anyone chilled to the bone. We are also not requesting any gifts, and we don’t have a registry. We have everything we really need, the one thing we want is to be surrounded by loving family and friends.
